Oxford May Music takes place in the historic centre of the city of Oxford. Based in one of the gems of 18th century architecture, the Holywell Music Room, with one of the best acoustics in the world, the festival brings together some of the finest young musicians performing in the UK today.
The first festival, which ran from April 30th - May 5th, 2008, attracted almost 1000 people to the programme of concerts and lectures exploring literature, science and music. We believe that Oxford May Music complements and enhances the experience of May Day in Oxford and invite you to experience this unique Oxford occasion for yourselves.
Our Artistic Director, Jack Liebeck, is currently putting together the programme for next year's festival, which will take place between April 29th and May 4th, 2009. Please look out for the new programme, which will be available from these web pages in the autumn of 2008. Please contact us if you would like to add your email and postal address to our mailing list. We look forward to meeting you at the 2009 festival!
Best wishes,
Jack Liebeck, Artistic Director
Brian Foster, Administrative Director
